Admissions
Our admissions policy is designed to be clear, comprehensive and fair. We welcome children and staff from all ethnic origins, religious backgrounds, gender and those who may have special needs. We do ,however, reserve the right to refuse entry or placement if we believe this will be detrimental to the care and wellbeing of your child, or the children in our care.
We have a booking system, which operates on a first come first served basis. It may also be necessary to put your child on our waiting list; however, we endeavour to place all children as soon as possible.
We aim to work with you to best meet your childcare needs; to help us to do this we will ask you to complete pre-admission documents such as a care plan for your child, which identifies needs, likes, dislikes and a range of information designed to help us settle your child into nursery life. All information supplied by parents is treated in the strictest confidence.
We feel that children settle in much easier and enjoy their time in the nursery so much more when they feel part of a group. Therefore we offer spaces for two full days or two half days per week or more.
We recommend putting your child on a wating list in the first few months from birth.
We are offering physical viewings over the weekend and during the week. You simply MUST come and see what we have to offer :)
Funding
Don’t forget that there are many sources of financial assistance with nursery fees such as EYFE (funded places for 9-23 months, 2, 3 and 4 year olds), tax free childcare, student funding, special needs assistance and tax credits, Workplace Nursery Benefit, TEDs group and Computershare vouchers. Please see the Childcare Choices website for more information.
Please note that we do not offer ONLY 15 or 30 hours for 2/3/4-year-olds. As we are open during half terms and for 50 weeks per year, you will be charged extra. Please contact us to obtain price list.
This year, all 3 and 4 year olds are able to access 570 funded hours from the term after their 3rd birthday. The term dates for the purposes of determining eligibility are as follows:
1st September – 31st December
1st January – 31st March
1st April – 31st August
Children with 15 hours of funding are able to access a maximum of 11.18 hours funded hours per week between our core hours of 7.30am to 6pm over 50 weeks of the year. These funded hours are provided free and the additional hours which your child attends will be chargeable. Breakfast club, lunch, snacks, outsourced classes, other enhanced probvisions are charged separately.
Please note that the funding is only for actual days attended therefore funding cannot be attributed in lieu of notice or absence. Funding is provided to ABC Studio Childcare for the place, therefore if a child leaves mid-way through a charging period, the remaining funding will be used to provide funded hours for a child who then joins the setting (the funding is not attached to a particular child). You will be asked to complete and sign Funding Parent Agreement and we will then apply for the funding on your behalf when they become eligible.
Please call us to discuss the Early Years Free Entitlement for children aged 9-23 months and 2, 3 and 4 years.
